FYI T42P on Ebay

Maybe this is old news but I found a couple deals on T42p's on Ebay. The specs are,

2373-KTU
IBM ThinkPad T42p/2.0GHz/1024MB//DVDMULTI/60GB7200RPM
14" SXGA+ with onsite warranty and new 6 cell battery.

Anyway I've been looking for a non-made in China T42p as a replacement for my T23 and I came across some post on 2737-KTUs that were made in Japan so once in a while I do a search for 2373-KTUs and recently found a couple for sale on Ebay. There's usually one or two 2373-KTU from the seller every week and the ones I inquired about were made in Japan so I assumed all KTUs were made in Japan. Which unfortunately is not true. Hence my assumption landed me one pristine T42p that was made in China. Not being the one to give up I specifically confirmed the country of origin and the made in Japan T42p arrived today. So now I have two T42p one IBM made in China and the other Lenovo Made in Japan. . the irony of life.

The on-site warranty works great and I've already replaced the AC socket along with the AC charger under warranty on the earlier one. I bid as high as $625 but lost that bid and ended winning one at $395 and another at $429 plus shipping. Life is ironic.
