but the price is good

what does all this really mean?

Throughput may be limited if use exceeds 5GB per month. Internet browsing does not include: hosted computer applications, continuous web camera or broadcast, automatic data feeds, machine-to-machine connections, peer to peer (P2P) connections or other applications that denigrate network capacity or functionality.

read the fine print

that means your internet access is very limited.

This is very typical for a cellular connection. All the major carriers have the same restrictions with the possible exception of Sprint. I know I don't feel especially limited.

I use at&t cellular for my primary internet access when away from the house - which is usually several weeks at a stretch. I have yet to hit the 5 GB ceiling, although I have come close a couple of times.

Normal web browsing and email downloads - even hours a day should cause no problem. Even file downloads haven't been a problem for me.

OTOH, if you are heavy into Bittorrents, movie and mp3 downloads, you might run into trouble. Doing such things can cause you to reach the 5 GB ceiling in a few days.
