Quick question: in Windows, if you open a folder in which contains files with different extensions, how do you select certain file extensions?

Thanks :)

I doubt that there is a builtin way to do that. There is probably a 3rd-party app though... Don't forget the good old sort by type and then just manually selecting from there since they're all next to each other.

The other builtin way would be to run something from the commandline against those files, something like "del *.jpg" to delete all files of a certain type.

You would need to set the view as Details.., then under Tools -> Folder Options, then unselect 'Hide extensions for known file types', then to sort them out you simply click on top of the files directory on Type, and voila
