And one more thing regarding journalists and their reports of science news. Not commenting OP's news, but i've noticed that more than 80% of "science news" that appear in press is misinterpreted (by journalist)... If you want to read researchers findings, only reliable source (assuming that they didn't fake the results), is the original article from various databases like MEDLINE or ScienceDirect, or the original journal (scientific)... But, of course, you have to pay it if you want to read it, unless you have institutional access... (welcome to dark age, again)...

One thing I have learned over the last decade about (junk) science is that if you have enough money to put in a specific project, there will be a "scientist" with all the appropriate titles who'll prove that the Earth is flat if you need that result...
