DO NOT ORDER from upgradebay.com
These guys are a real piece of work. My first order came back as a Chicony board and their response was: "We have several part numbers that qualify, so we ship whatever we have."
I told them to exchange it, and they complied fairly easily, after doing some searching for the NMB board. They sent me a replacement with the correct NMB part number. I received my part in the mail today, and it was surely an NMB board, however I looked closely and it was USED!!!!
Why didn't someone tell me I was going to get a used part? Did they think I wouldn't notice?!!!
I called them up and gave them hell, but the best they could do is give me a full refund. I still have to pay for shipping back to them, which includes the first RMA shipping costs. WT FREAK!@~!!~??
upgradebay, you guys are terrible.
I've placed another order through IBM using the NMB part number for the T61. They said they have plenty in stock.
mod note: moved to off-topic.

To be fair, these companies are typically not serving customers who know which factory made which keyboards. Most people's highest priority is a functioning part, not a part from a particular manufacturer. The parts company itself probably doesn't know the difference--it's a matter understood mostly by enthusiasts, and probably a little hyped-up in my opinion.
In addition, the keyboard issue itself is a little mixed-up since the Chicony keyboards are often stickered with the NMB part number.
Honestly, though, I feel that it doesn't much matter. I've got a Chicony on the tablet and an NMB on my X24. They're both great; I used to prefer the X24's by a bit, but now I'm not sure which I like better.
IMO it seems acceptable for them to just offer you a full refund; I wouldn't expect any more of them, though I might be more inclined to do repeat business with them if they did try harder to help.
