thanks to the vets at the university of georgia vet mesicine center
is alive and gaining weight after a near death gastric event last february..
$4000 later she was well and the mysterious ailment had been solved..
very few vets anywhere would have had the medical hardware and ability to diagnose thie problem..
what finally showed the problem was the bird version of a barium cocktail and a flouroscopic examination while the stuff went its merry was from beak to vent..
i even have a CD movie of her innards when they did an internal exam with fiberoptics and a camera..
amazing..
THAT and all my birds, my wife of 22 years, my health and the good friends i find here on this forum is what i gave thanks for..
i am truly blessed by whichever diety anyone subscribes to..
for me, the american indian concept of a great spirit is who has blessed me this day..

She was not what you would call refined,
She was not what you would call unrefined,
She was the type of person who kept a parrot.

Wonderful news Bill, don't you wish we had pet insurance, we recently went through $800 for one of our cats to have diagnosed a food allergy
all is well now, but it will take a while to make up that dough.
I hope everyone enjoyed a fulfilling Thanksgiving, we had a very blessed day. DH had bypass heart surgery on Nov. 13 and came home last saturday and is progressing very well. He ate a full plate yesterday, except the pie; so I had his piece
