It seems to me that there are more and more reviews reminding of the legendary IPS screens. Maybe, thus more users would like to have a laptop with an IPS screen, which might very well change the trend in Lenovo as well...

Now just imagine what accolades W700 would've gotten if it had an IPS/AFFS display...

does anyone here know what variety of display the W700 uses?
Frankenpad X31.5 (X31 casing, X32 motherboard) 1.8ghz Pentium M processor, 1gb RAM,
60gb HDD dual booting Arch GNU/Linux && Windows XP

Standard TN panel with 1 or 2 backlights depending on the version.
