Timed Out

#1 Post by Diablo6.0 » Tue Mar 03, 2009 10:10 pm

I dont know whether this is the right place to post this.

Okay, I loaded this forum on my desktop (loaded up fast without any problems). When I tried to browse on my X300 it couldn't load... Anyways didnt bother me since I as still able to browse this forum on my desktop.

Following day, for some strange reason, my deskop at home, everytime I load into this forum on my desktop it comes up with the white webpage saying timed out connection (same as my laptop). Yet at work, it loads fine. Basicly everytime I try to load this forum at home, I always end up having through a "Proxy Site" to view this forum, which always ends up with heaps of Ads.

Anyways is it possible that my home IP has been banned? Quite bizzare. Any input on why this has happened would be appreciated. I have only use this forum for 1 week, havent done much but lurking. Great community, wish to not looking for a alternative forum.

You have probably been infected with malware. Either that or your DNS server is poisoned.

Try running a scan with Malwarebytes' AntiMalware in Windows SAFE MODE and see what it finds.

Moving this post to the appropriate forum.

I second Malwarebytes. as a possible solution. But it is hit or miss with some of these bugs.

I've had good luck with Combofix on some of them

I would also caution you from using free proxy servers as these could be the source of the infection.
