Ebay and so it goes

#1 Post by jronald » Wed Apr 15, 2009 5:47 pm

So I stumbled on a deal for T30 batteries on cluelessbay. Basically shipping to get them to me.
Ordered 2 of them, shipped promptly, ok if a little strange in a flat USPS envelope, to say it bulged was an understatement.

Took a quick look for the tell-tale notch so that the battery would snap in and thought to myself, Boulder Dam, no notch. Set 1 on top of the other and noticed 1 was slighty, about 1/2 shorter than the other.

Powered up the T30 and punched them into Google.
Batt#1 is for a T20/T21
Batt#2 is for a R32
SO MUCH FOR A BARGAIN!

The deal with T2X and T30 batteries is that you can run a T30 battery in a T2X machine, but not vice-versa. The reason is the notch in T30 batteries...as you've discovered.

Try contacting the seller and ask for a refund.

Oh no
It continues

So I contacted her, ask for the new tracking number.
She gives me the old tracking number
SO
Using her own words from the communications I have had
I reconstruct the entire transaction, then she promised the correct batteries are in the mail today

We will see

Took a PayPal dispute to do it
Here is her positive feedback for me

#1 Positive Feedback Received I find it very difficult to find a bigger looser than this. I can smell him here Seller: heikesgirl607 (342Feedback is 100 to 499) Apr-28-09 15:35 280333092139

#2 Positive Feedback Received I have yet to meet anyone a stupid as this jerk.spends too much time in closet Seller: heikesgirl607 (342Feedback is 100 to 499) Apr-28-09 15:31 280333092014

My feed back to her was Negative:Wrong item shipped, promised a correction, attempting to resolve

See a difference in the two of them?

Ebay policy is that negative statements left for a buyer that conflict with the positive rating are not allowed. You can ask Ebay to remove the feedback you received that violates policy.

I sent a message to eBay, we will see what they do

1 of the batteries is a 1 cycle, built in April of 2008.
The other 1 is a 0 count
Cost me a bunch of time and $20 for both of them

I had a similar experience through Amazon. I got a video card for my brother and made a boo boo on my part.

I bought a card with no VGA outputs- just DVI.

Which meant the DVI to DVI cable that was enclosed was of no use to us. I had to call the company and spoke with a gentleman who took me by surprise. The dealer was a guy from New Yawk who reminded me of Tony Saprano. Luckily for me tho he asked if I could do just one thing. He asked me to give him a positive feedback. I did and was sent the DVI to VGA adapter and another DVI to dual DVI cable.

He did this and the only thing I paid was three dollars that was left on the cost of shipment. I didn't mind. I just wanted that video card to work for my brother.

Online shopping seems to be fifty fifty at best these days. I hope you get this nonsense sorted out!

Ebay left the feedback as positive, but deleted the words
So Im good

By the way, I misread both of these batteries
They were 0 (zero) usage, brand new!
