What motor vehicle do you drive.?( photo warning )

#1 Post by SaberX » Mon Jun 29, 2009 7:47 pm

I seen a few comments on differents posts before about cars people drive...
Just wondering what motor vehicle do you drive?Car , truck , bike , snow mobile, ect?

EDIT: I found this forum post but it's dated and thought people may have new wheels...

I use to have a 1997 Firebird.
Then a 2001 Xterra.
2000 Ski-Doo Summit 600.
Now i drive my buddy's 2007 outback.
But over the years i had many many cars,trucks,ski-doos.These are just the nicer ones.

That's got to be tough in the winter. Last time I checked, Toronto still gets pretty cold in the winter.

I didn't live in Toronto last winter - I was in Waterloo, conveniently boarding a bus going to the university right outside my house, and sleeping in when it got too cold...

Summers are so nice, though, it'd be a shame not to use them.

Still on 2000 Honda Odyssey LX, 131,000 miles and counting, hit a deer this past summer with $3,500 damage, but still runs extremely well (knock wood)...I'm dead certain we'll own her until she falls apart, which hopefully won't be any time soon...will give her a new coat of paint in the spring and call it a day...

ok, i'll bite..

for me: 1997 Mercedes SL600.. 55k miles.. very very fast and quiet about it..

for wife: 1992 Lexus SC400.. 160k miles.. amazingly well built car.. was my driver until the SL600 came along.. and i was going to sell it until wife crashed her Toyota Avalon.. (see billmorrow.com)..

my TOY car, 1985 Aston Martin Lagonda, 12k miles.. it lives under a cover in the garage..

Utility: 1999 Ford F350 huge diesel flatbed.. left over from a failed business venture.. 150k miles..

plan is to get a used Mercedes stationwagon for the wife, when we can afford it..
otherwise, in this current financial reality i buy nothing that is not absolutely needed, unless it might be pre-1964 silver coins..

You said "Honda," so this shouldn't be a problem. Between the two that I've had there were more than 400,000 miles. Keep the rust under control and you'll have no problems. The floor in my '91 Civic Wagon rusted through, but the motor ran like a champ.

We have have a 1997 Honda CR-V and just broke 170,000 miles :D...just hope the timing belt doesn't break soon! (last time it was changed was at 60K miles, so loooong overdue!) But even with the minor problems that goes with a car this old, I'm with George and and Doctor Device and think there's still life left in it!

I still have my very rare UK spec MGRV8 (look it up on google) for the summer months and a Jaguar X Type diesel which is a fantastic cruiser. I also have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 litre which drinks petrol but served us well when we had a chalet in the French Alps. It has now done 148,000 miles and is dying so it is off to the big scrap yard with dealer and government assistance. The deal is I get a new VW Golf diesel (70 mpg) with thousands of pounds (GBP) off list price.

The wife is well pleased as it writes off business costs as an allowable expense and cuts the tax bill. I am just pleased to get a new car with 3 years warranty and won't leak.
