Looking for good free program to keep track of cd's,dvd's

#1 Post by SaberX » Tue Jun 30, 2009 9:28 pm

I'm looking for a good free program that will keep track and list of all my home movies.CD's , DVD's , Blu-Ray's , HD DVD's, ect.
I had used one before where i type in the UPC # and it found all the movie info and put it in the list.
It was a free program. But i cant figure out the name of it now.

Anyone use a program like this?
I have about 300+ DVD's , 80+ HD dvd's , and about 80+ and growing Blu-ray's.And then the CD's are way over 500+.

I like to have a computer program to keep track of them all. There's a nice bit of cash there...

Did you format or something? Did it have a splash screen you could visualize?

Do a Google with "cd collection program" and pick your choice.

Wow. You got the secrets of the universe in that stash???

:P

You must have all kinds of goodies in there! I'm beginning to have a need for something like that also!

My DVD collection got too big so I got a really big hard drive, then ripped and re-encoded them using Handbrake. Now I have them all at the touch of the remote and can stream them all over the house to the PS3, 360, etc.

I found the old program i used..It is Media Man 2.It was free but now they have ver 3 out and is 39.99usd.
I installed the one i had thats the free one.I'll see how it goes but i may need to find a newer one.
I like it because you can use the UPC code to add movies,cd's,books, video games(x-box,PS3,PC).You can also use a web cam to scan the bar code to get the movie info.
Also you can put in friends name and what movies they get a lend from you.To keep track of who got what.
