Google Search without the ads?

Is it just me, or a setting I made without knowing what I did, or something else, but recently I have noticed that I do not get any more ads/links on the right hand side of a Google search-result page.
They used to irritate me and I never went to any of those anyway.
Anybody else notice this too?

I've been using FireFox with AdBlock Plus for so long now that I'm surprised to see ads when I have to use a different browser, or someone else's computer.

Google is so low-key they almost don't see like ads to me, but yes, I'm still get adds.

No, I'm not seeing any ads either. I have AdBlockPlus with Firefox 3.5, but I don't recall doing anything else explicitly to lose ads. Like FredGarvin I didn't find Google ads bothersome even when I saw them.

Hey, i just read this, and immediately typed gibberish into chrome, and no ads. But when I typed "laptop" i got piles of 'em. Maybe it's a keyword thing, or does this happen for all of your searches? I think i'll do some research on it. I'm sick of seeing "Looking for how to fix keyboard? But it on eBay!"
