Pretty severe colour issues on XP x86 / Vista x64

#1 Post by A31 » Sat Jan 16, 2010 2:47 am

Hi all...
I have some pretty severe colour issues with windows XP x86 and Vista x64 on my dual booting machine. Yesterday I installed an nVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics card in my pc and it worked fine no problems yesterday, but when I tunred the machine on today, I noticed some pretty odd colour issues...
It even has funny colour issues BEFORE Windows starts, ie at the HP boot screen etc

I tried to update my nVIDIA drivers but using the Device manager but Windows determined that everything was "up to date". I went into the nVIDIA control panel and tried to change contrast and brightness etc but that didn't help either. Click the link below and you can a see a picture hopefully of what my desktop looks like on XP (it's the same on Vista)...

I am wondereing wether it's because I cant activate Windows in Vista as the key is already "being used", but surely that wouldn't affect XP as well?

Help!!??

Sorry also forgot to say it won't display Red text as red, but it'll make it black.

EDIT, the problem has now been resolved, the monitor wasnt plugged in properly
