An insanely high pixel density!!!
I just learned about the Fujitsu UH900, which has a 5.6" 1280x800 screen! That gives a pixel density of 269.54!! I thought the Sony P-series netbook's 1600x768 on 8" (221.85 DPI) was crazy, but this is much worse!
Other than that, I like this Fujitsu's form factor because it would be possible to fit it in a pants pocket -- technically this is called a handheld PC, like the HP Jornada series. If it had phone functionality, were much cheaper, and had a more reasonable resolution (e.g. 1024x600) it would be exactly what I'm looking for.

Re: An insanely high pixel density!!!
I have the Sony P699E. It does have tiny resolution (not sure that's the correct term for tiny print?) but it is great when I know I'm going to be sitting somewhere waiting (as when I take my mom to her doctor appointments.) It has Verizon WAN on it, but I don't have an account, so I am usually able to pick up wireless and get on the net. It's good for me because it's so small it will fit in my purse and so light I barely feel it's there. I can use my iphone for surfing, but I like the Sony P better for anything longer than just checking email (like reading on the forum
)
I do have a problem with it though -- I don't know if it's the processor/graphics/or what, but I haven't been successful in playing downloaded movies, which is another thing I would like to do with it. My X301 has worked fine with Roxio movie rental/downloads, but not the Sony P -- videos from youtube, etc. play perfectly, but not movie downloads -- the movie I was able to download was clear and bright and played perfectly for about 30 minutes -- then the audio and video became out of sync -- Roxio's support phone techs don't know any more about the issue that I do, so they were no help -- very frustrating...

I had the Fujitsu U810 with 5.6" WXGA screen, so I know exactly what you're talking about. The DPI is even higher than most mobile phone. Needless to say, I got dizzy after about half an hour use with it. This is coming from a guy who got comfortable with 12.1" SXGA+

Re: An insanely high pixel density!!!
I have been using 15.0" QXGA (171 DPI) for almost 3 years, and even with so much "intense" training, I still wouldn't be able to tolerate the Sony P series, let alone these Fujitsu 5.6" WXGA screens. I don't understand what Sony and Fujitsu are trying to accomplish with these ridiculous pixel densities. The only way people can view these screens is to place them within 8 inches from the eye (the same distance as viewing a smartphone screen). But at this distance it's really hard to *type* on the keyboard, so I suspect many people end up using the keyboard like a thumbboard.AvalonXIII wrote:I got dizzy after about half an hour use with it.
