Super Bowl predictions?

#1 Post by goofyGAguy » Sat Feb 06, 2010 12:00 pm

I'm thinking defense will merely be a "suggestion".

Colts 35 Saints 28

I was reading about the Superbowl in yesterday's paper. Apparently it is an eighty minute game that lasts for hours and hours because it keeps stopping so that adverts can be shown on TV. Not everybody's cup of tea, although you would have lots of time to brew a pot while the adverts run.

I'd rather watch a proper rugby game than those sissies with their excessive upholstery!
Not to mention those stupid ads!
No way will I ever watch American Football voluntarily!
Okay, you can start flaming now

  • Sydney snatches victory

Sunday, 07 February 2010 Two John Aloisi goals – one bizarre and highly controversial – have given Sydney FC a pulsating 3-2 win over Perth Glory at Parramatta Stadium and kept the heat on league leaders Melbourne right until the last day of the regular season.

Start of the 6 Nations Rugby yesterday; Ireland beat Italy. England beat Wales.
Today Scotland lost to France. All shown on HD TV free of any adverts. The greatest thing was Twickenham celebrating 100 years of Rugby so the England team wore replica kit from 1910 with no advertising. It looked really good after all these years of players looking like advertising hoardings.

@Bill Bolton: Is that Association Football or Aussie Rules? Looking at the link it seems like footie as we know it here. A girlie's game compared to Rugger.

Yes, keep your american football and politics to yourself around here. Not worth getting the foreign ankle biters angry.
