One department at the dairy, I suspect the sales guys, had decided to throw away everything they didn't need. So I ended up finding 2 port replicators for T60s, one with the keys still in a little bag taped to the top of it. Nice, as I ordered a T60 earlier this week. For my T30 I found a docking station, the one with PCMICIA slots and an UltraBay, and I also found a port replicator, which I recognized as the one that came with my old work T30. Still in an IBM box dated June 2002, never used. I also found a little Thinkpad USB mouse, new in a plastic bag.
Apart from the IBM stuff, I found 3 brand new powered 4 port USB 2.0 hubs, 2 brand new Logitech multimedia keyboards, various PCMCIA adapters, power cables and other stuff. I even asked the guy in charge of the HazMat room to make sure this was really waste, and he confirmed that and said I could just grab all I wanted. So it all went into my car, and I realized that recycling the paint cans and visiting the HazMat room was smart move.
