"Bump"??

#1 Post by BruisedQuasar » Sat Jul 03, 2010 9:00 am

Despite membership in several forums over a span of many years, I've never come across the term "bump" before. I looked through the "rules" section and only found an added rule pertaining to "bump"

I frequently see "bump" in Marketplace. Could someone please explain "bump"?

If you were to post a question and received no response then your posting would gradually move down the board. If you wanted to raise it to the top of the boad you could add a reply saying, "Bump".

That's my understanding of the term. :)

And sometimes people use "TTT" as a post to do the same thing. It stands for "To The Top".

I wish to thank all of you for your reply to my query. You certainly cleared that one for me.
I kept coming across posts with just "bump" in them and I was puzzled over what they were about!
