Sending back a thinkpad?

#1 Post by LodenCorp » Tue Jul 06, 2010 1:34 pm

If there's a problem such as creaky palm rest, dead pixels, broken or malfunctioning. Do I have to pay for shipping to send it back and forth? How long does it typically take? Thanks!

At the absolute most you will just have to pay for shipping it to them.

If you're talking about a warranty repair, I'm receiving a box with a prepaid UPS shipping label to ship my notebook back to them. I think info off the Lenovo website says that warranty turnaround takes between 3-5 business days, and shipping is overnight.

Isn't shipping very expensive to ship back to China?
Also, we're all under 1 year warranty if we buy a thinkpad so don't we get free prepaid shipping?

You do not send it back to China!

Call the warranty number and they will send to you via overnight a box to put your computer in and they pay the shipping to and from the repair facility in the USA.

Go to the Lenovo site and look under warranty services.
