Re: LG's 31in OLED
not such a great time to be offering new tech like that..
most won't lay out that kind of $$ (or euros) for toys..
and its an expensive thing to develop.. last i heard sony was doing a OLED TV..
it sure is an attractive design..

Re: LG's 31in OLED
I believe they did only 11" version and then quit for reasons you mentioned...BillMorrow wrote:... last i heard sony was doing a OLED TV...
This is 31" version and IMHO is "perfect" PC monitor (although it is advertised as TV) and very nice tv (slightly bigger diagonal would be better for TV's, but this is fine also
Re: LG's 31in OLED
6000 Euros is prohibitive. I wonder where they see a market at that price?

Re: LG's 31in OLED
Especially given that there are Mitsubishi LaserVue. First 65" generation can be purchased for $3700, and current second 75" generation with 3D support can be purchased for the same $6000. It is possible that laservue picture quality is even higher than that of OLED type screens.killer wrote:6000 Euros is prohibitive. I wonder where they see a market at that price?
The only advantage of LG's TV seems to be ability to shave yourself with it.
Lifebook P1032 (1024*600 8.9") => Averatec AV1000 (WXGA 10.6") => Kohjinsha SH6 (1024*600 7.2") => Sharp M4000 (WXGA 13.3") => X200-AFFS, dead => X200s-AFFS, later -PVA => X220 4290RV5 + Intel 310 80GB, T420s 4173KSU + FHD IPS + Sandisk Z400s 128GB
