Darned expensive, and Pony Express slow to boot!
8 days and the thing is just now hitting the States!

There's a weekend in between those dates, perhaps Calgarians don't work over the weekend?!?

I've experienced MUCH worse than that with trackable International shipments by USPS.

That's nothing. Wait 'til you see what Royal Mail (UK) can do to an intra-EU shipment...

Looks normal. Expedited is actually the slowest one for shipment to USA. Likewise in Canada it takes about a week for something to get across Canada if you use the basic service. Like somebody already pointed out there is a weekend in there and it looks like it was dropped off Friday night. I like to use Xpresspost in Canada whenever possible.

EMS is pretty slow, but most suppliers I deal with are willing to use FedEx for just a few bucks more.

I have bought parts from HK, jeez its half way around the world from the US.
California to North Carolina is from one end of the USA to the other end 3 days USPS.
Carrier Pigeon would have been faster.
For that matter a Wooly worm would have been faster!
