Belkin Wireless G Router

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:53 pm

I have a Belkin Wireless G Router and had it since 2005. When I go to download anything online it will download and randomly stop and not finish. I don't know whats wrong. Is it the service or the router? I have WindStream. When using NetZero dialup it downloads all the way but slow.

Also the same thing happends with watching vidoes online. load halfway and stop playing

Could be a "Black Hole Router" issue.

5 years sounds very good for a router. I have had routers pack up within 12 months, some after a few weeks.

My present router has lasted 2 years and seems OK. Luckily my ISP supplies a new router free of charge if anything goes wrong. All they want is the old one sent back (they pay the postage) so they can return it to the manufacturer for a refund.

802.11n is much better than 802.11g if your ThinkPad supports 802.11n.
