The fire started when an old car caught alight and it's frightening how quickly it moved through the rest of the scrap.
You can hear explosions which in reality were real "boomers".
I only found out afterwards that there were 2000 litres of "flammable liquids" on the site which the fire brigade managed to protect.
Richie mentions me twice, "Nick", because at the time him and Aaron were helping me move offices within the building and we were struggling to shift a set of cupboards when the alarm went off and we had to abandon it in the corridor! Just our luck to get a real fire alarm at the wrong moment!
The fire services did an amazing job getting it under control, even pumping water from the River Tyne to douse the flames, and by the evening the pawl of smoke had disappeared from the skyline.
Now back to completing the office move, and then I guess another "Board Room" meeting at the Free Trade - ie we drink till we get "board"!!
