What do you carry your laptop in? I am thinking about getting some kind of briefcase

I have the Thinkpad Ultraportable case for my X220i. The R60e has no plans to leave the house.

Most of mine don't leave the house either. The X40 just gets put in the brief case along with my papers and catalogs.

One consideration when carrying a ThinkPad is how desirable it might be to undesirable members of your local community. If you put your lovely new ThinkPad in a shiny case then you might become a target for those undesirables.

When I travel I use an old back-pack and shove the ThinkPad away where it looks like I might just have dirty laundry.

It has worked so far.

When casually traveling the subways into midtown Manhattan (here in New York City) I use a cool looking, well-designed padded carrying case which looks like it could simply contain books, folders, or papers. It doesn't have the obvious looks of a laptop case. No one knows an expensive laptop is inside, and I keep it on my shoulder at all times. Same thing when taking the LIRR trains into upstate New York or Long Island or doing pastoral ministry in some rough neighborhoods. Even better is one of those Swiss Gear camping backpacks which have a padded compartment inside for your laptop. I had one- got so beaten up from use- have to buy a new one soon. It's even better as it straps securely over your shoulders, and would be more difficult for someone to simply snatch from you. Also leaves both hands free to defend yourself LOL. Having some street smarts, thinking quickly on your feet and prayer doesn't hurt either

When dressed up, desiring to look professional and wanting to show off my laptop (which I rarely do) in a business meeting, I use one of the Thinkpad carrying cases I have. "Undesirables" would be able to spot that I'm carrying a laptop from a mile away. For starters, it has a big "Thinkpad" logo emblazoned on the front and the obvious looks of a laptop case. So just for more refined settings.

That's an Otterbox. One of the finest hard cases in the world...weighs a ton though. Pelican makes some nice hard cases as well - http://pelican.com/case_group_search.ph ... oup=Laptop

I have the best of both worlds.

I still use a Booq Vyper for my T61. It's a semi-rigid ballistic-nylon case that borders on a sleeve. It can fit in my backpack, yet still absorb shocks and impacts like a hard case. Kinda hard to find the PC-variants now, as the company shifted to MacBook dimensions, but there's still a lot of compatible sizes for various TP models.

I am looking for users opinions who have X220 and ThinkPad Ultraportable Case #41U5062
I can't seem to find any other 12.5" bag with document pockets, etc.. I just want something small, lights that can accommodate X220 snugly.
I remember seeing a topic with pages of discussion, I can't find it now
