weird X120e trackpoint / ultranav problems

#1 Post by rkforum » Sat Nov 19, 2011 12:39 am

on my new x120E I experience this behavior:

1) While booting up and selecting which user to log in, trackpoint works fine
2) Once I log in, all of a sudden trackpoint gets stuck in 'scroll lock' mode
3) also when i first got the computer I had to REALLY press the mouse keys down HARD to get them to work

I looked around web and someone said to delete the ultranav in device manager, and windows would install it's own driver. I did this and ultranav worked again, but then hit cases where mouse clicks would not register.

I downloaded latest ultranav drivers and (1) and (2) above are still problems, although I don't have to hit the mouse keys hard anymore, they work with a soft touch.

Weird! Anyone else with this issue? I read about it a little bit iwth other thinkpads but not x120e.

So basically I can't use the trackpoint at all. Not a big deal but still strange.

So it never worked from day 1? Any chance it is still under warranty if this leads to hardware issue? Have you try to update the ultranav driver and tool under the Lenovo System Updater?
