It sure looks like they took our Edge E120 and put a rubber bumper around the lid. If it is anything close to the E120, and priced in any way decently, it should be a hit.

Still not available.

Looks like it will be available around April, and perhaps for $399. If those two things are true, it will be a winner for sure.

From this article, it looks like the lower end AMD processor X130e's will start at $469. Apparently, this ruggedized version of the X120e/Edge E120 weighs over 1/2 lb. more, at 3.9 lbs. For some, the rugged enhancements may be worthwhile.

I did. I maxed everything out; each time you added something it actually subtracted from the total price. After maxing out the specs and getting one of EVERYTHING, I was only able to get the price to around $11k. :x

The x120e and x130e are almost what I want in this price range. But there are two problems that prevent me from buying:

= no Thinklight

= people say that the fan is loud and constantly operating

If Lenovo added a Thinklight and cut down the fan noise, I would be buying a couple of these immediately.

As it is, my Dell Mini 10v is totally quiet. The heat from the right underside can be managed by using a support that lets air pass beneath.
Thinkpads I have known: (380z, T40, X32), X61, X200, X200S, X201

Well, the price is right -- but there doesn't seem to be an option for an SSD in the i3 X130. At least that I saw. And the SSD upgrade in the AMD one is overpriced too, or seems like it. Ah well.

Gonna watch for a used one.

Though do we have any idea about the next refresh? An x122, x131, x140?
