I have a t30 and an r30 and I love them dearly. I plan however to get the new x130e. I have around 6 or 7 chargers that work with both the t30 and r30. They are all 72 watt (16V, 4.5A). Would these chargers work with the X130e? If so, do all thinkpad chargers work with all thinkpads? thanks in advance, all help is appreciated.

Don"t think so. The T30 will not work with anything after the T4x series AFAIK. Not only do the newer machines have different voltage requirements, but the connectors are different too on every later model ThinkPads I've seen. But, I have not yet seen a X130e, so can't say for certain, but don"t expect them to be compatible.

that's a little disappointing. Do all modern thinkpad chargers work with all thinkpads? Sorry for not knowing so much, I haven't been following TPs for a while. It seems lenovo sells 2 different chargers: a 65 watt and a 90 watt. I'm guessing at least some thinkpad chargers work with a certain group of TPs. Which would be understandable. Because there is no way each TP has a unique charger. there's got to be at least a couple groups. thanks for the help.
