Was the X120e ever updated with a faster processor?

I love my X120e with the AMD E350 APU but I'm looking to get an increase in the processing power, while still retaining the strong graphics performance. Did Lenovo ever update the X120e line to offer either a faster AMD CPU or the i5 processor?

If not, is there another ultraportable model from Lenovo that has this combination?

No, the X120e was never offered with more power than what you already have. The X1 is the i5 equipped model in the X series.

There were/are Intel i3 options offered outside the U.S. in similar size/format machines. Those models are named Edge 11, Edge E120 and X121e. Occasionally, they can be found in the U.S. via this forum, eBay or elsewhere.

I owned an Edge E120, it was much faster and a great machine --> http://www.thinkpads.com/forum/viewtopi ... 59&t=99403

Note: The X130e is offered with Intel CPUs, but is a considerably heavier and thicker model. An X200 or X201 model would make more sense by comparison.

There are Celeron variants of the X130e available. Dual core 1.3GHz, better raw processing performance than the E350 but worse graphics performance.

You can find them on eBay in the sub $250 range.
