Hello, can anyone tell me why the same series thinkpad - the x131e cost less for an i5 on amazon then the one with an i3 on the Lenovo website?

The Lenovo X131e 33722VU on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-X131e-3372 ... uctDetails

The Lenovo site for the i3 is:
http://m.lenovo.com/#!/products/noteboo ... 31e/models

I know the i5 has an and processor and the i3 is an Intel, could this be why?

Also, I wanted to know if someone could tell me if the x131e on amazon has alot of fan noise??? I absolutely hate when the laptop is noisy and I want to make sure its pretty quiet when I buy it.

Sorry for my terminology if its off, I'm not a techy person.

It's just a deal, get whatever is cheaper, you still get full warranty.

And no, i5 machines are just as noisy as i3 ones. Maybe under load they will consume a little more but for the vast majority of tasks they are about the same.

What in the world is an "AMD Core i5" as quoted in the Amazon page?
