X120E kvm issues

I just recently bought my X120E off of ebay because i wanted something small and lightweight to carry everyday. I really like this laptop but I upgraded the HD to a 256gb ssd, and installed Windows 8 Pro X64 right away on it. I am not sure if this is creating the issue i am having. Wile in the office i connect it to a KVM and this seems to cause a serious issue with it. I have had it crash a couple times as well as it seems to run very sluggish while I have it connected. Is anyone else having any issue like this? Could the issue be cause by a compatibility issue with windows 8? I really like windows 8 on it as it boots in seconds as well as it just runs very very fast overall. If Win 8 is the issue then i could reload Win 7. Just curious to see if anyone else may have seen this..
