W7 Media Center on X131 or other X1xx?

Has anyone tried running Win7's Media Center on one of these laptops hooked up to 1080p HDTv via HDMI? I'm about to buy/build a little NUC-like PC for a bedroom media PC attached to a large external drive and was wondering if these little thinkpads are able to drive a HDTV and play up to 1080p ripped videos given that off eBay they can be much cheaper than building a small PC. Anyone tried this yet?
W520 4276-37U, W520 4282-A61, and X61T 7769-A67 ThinkPads; D20 4155-CTO ThinkStations; plus lots of ThinkCentres

It has W7 Ultimate/SP1 64-bit installed.
It also has this Media Center, but I do NOT have a HDMI cable to connect to a TV.
Anything else I could do to see if your wish would come true?
