X131e Intel replacement feet

#1 Post by cshuy » Tue Aug 02, 2016 8:36 am

one of the square feet for my x131 has fallen off and I am now using chopsticks to make sure it's stable, rather than wobble.

I can't find actual replacement feet that are supposed to go with the machine, so I am trying to look for other ideas on how to replace it.

Does anyone have any ideas? I will probably have to find something else to put in its place and make do...

Thanks in advance!

If they are from the "door" get a replacement here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151733613573
Alternatively, check any old laptop that still has "sort-of-matching" feet.
Remove and cut them into shape if needed and glue them on with Gorilla-glue or similar.

Alas, it's the part near the battery, above where the battery lock is.

Take the other foot off, find someone with a 3D-printer and have a reverse-copy made.
Or do some DIY wood-cutting/plastic-cutting with a Dremel, paint it black, etc...
Or buy a new/used base 04W3873
