X100e also lacking charging thresholds.

#1 Post by Colonel O'Neill » Tue Mar 16, 2010 6:41 pm

Just reporting that the X100e also does not support charging thresholds like the Tx10 revision.

It seems that the X100e is not too different from the average netbook, albeit this one has an AMD MV-40 that overheats and has a battery life of around 5 hours. The keyboard is the nicest chiclet keyboard that I've used insofar, with the only issue being the loss of the dedicated media keys, ThinkVantage button, and the familiar placement of keys.. It is also lacking 0.5mm of depth which is rather disconcerting coming from the conventional design.

Please clarify. You mean using Thinkvantage Power Manager, one can't set the battery not to charge?

PM 3.2 just came out. I think some folks with the W500 were complaining they had no threashold manger but it now has resurfaced with the new software release. Can you confirm if this has enabled thresholds for your X100e?

x100e's charging threshold function works well with PM 3.2
