Glossy or Not?

Hi,

A simple, and maybe silly question. Is the screen of the X100e glossy or not? The reason I ask is I've read reviews that say the screen is matte but yet I've seen the screen described using Lenovo's marketing term 'BrightView.' Is 'BrightView' akin to Acer's CrystalBrite or Dell's TrueLife high-gloss displays? Or is it just a marketing term to describe an extra-bright matte display? Any clarification received on this would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is it possible to install Lenovo's VeriFace sw on the x100e? Has anyone done this? If so where does one get the software (it's not easily available on the Lenovo website).

Thanks!

@ byrnedm,

Greetings and Welcome to our Forum!

The X100 has a matte (not glossy) display.

As far as Veriface is concerned, I don't see it for that model, however here is a link to the models it applies to. I would watch here as it may be available in the future.

Cheers... :)

The screen is definitely matte. I would say it's the most reflective matte screen I've ever used, though-- but it's still far better than a glossy screen.

BrightView seems to be Lenovo's name for an LED backlit display.
