Thanks to reviews from here (plus personal T-series usage) I wound up buying an X100e today. It's going to be an xmas gift for my dad so sadly I won't get my hands on it much. To be honest, the HP Mini 210 was top of my list for quite a while, until I discovered they ditched the matte screen for a gloss. Bummer! Portability and and battery life were more important than power (it's replacing a 10 y/o Compaq), which is why I was liking the Mini (with the HD matte screen and N550 dual-core Atom), but I ended up with a far more capable machine that will last for years. Reviews on the keyboard, matte screen, and of course the ultranav system were big help, and poor battery life and heat are considerations, but it's application I'm not too worried. Plus I love the Thinkpad line (even if some don't consider the x100 to be a "real" thinkpad) for comfort, durability, quality of construction, and business-oriented no-nonsense functionality.
