some questions on x100e: Touchpad, Trackpoint, RMClock, WLAN

Hi.

1)
How do I simulate a "middle click" with the touchpad? My Dell has a setting, weh both buttons are pressed, then a middleclick is performed, which opens a new window in Opera in the background. I didn't find any entries on the X100e.

2)
On my acer Laptop I used a momentum. I move the cursor and when released while moving, it continues to move.
Does the X100e have a similar option?

3)
If I am using the Trackpad and switch to the Touchpad, there is a 1 second delay, before the Touchpad reacts.
Can this delay be removed?

4)
I have a full Size Atheros Card here. Installed in the x100e it works without an error and is recognized in Windows 7 Ult. x64.
Unfortunately, no WLAN can be found. I used the WWAN Antennas for the Atheros card, can this be the reason?

5)
I am playing with RMClock for untervolting.
Here are my current settings:
8x 0,825
7,5x 0,8
7x 0,775
6,5x 0,7625
6x 0,7375
5,5x 0,725
5x 0,7

Unfortunately, when I go to 4x or 4.5x the x100e locks up at every Voltage. Is this normal?
I got several Bluescreens when installing Windows 7 Ultimate. (x86 and x64) After deactivating the automatic "clock down" feature in the BIOS, there were no BSODs any more. I used RMClock for undervolting.

6)
I just turned the X100e around.
I heard a scratching noise problably coming from the HDD. Was this a normal safety function fron the HDD or the THinkpad Safety Tool (which is not installed)?

I don't mean to hurt your feelings...but why are you messing with a perfectly fine ThinkPad? I would set everything to default in the BIOS.

Although I cannot give you advice on all your questions it would appear that you may eventually break something.

Windows 7 does a very good job running the X100e. If there are some tweaks for the the X100e you will find them here or on a Google search.

Good luck...stay warm...enjoy your X100e.

I discovered a fix for this behaviour (which is very annoying TBH).
You go to mouse properties, under UltraNav tab click on the TouchPad Setting button.
New window opens and you expand "Smart Check" and under that there is "PalmCheck" set it to Minimum (slider all the way to the left).
This fixed it completely. :)

Where?
I couldnt install Win7 without deactivating the feature.

You go to mouse properties, under UltraNav tab click on the TouchPad Setting button.

Thanks. That did it.

howto: How successful have you been with undervolting the x100e? Have you seen any significant increase in battery life and/or a decrease in cpu temps? How has undervolting effected performance?

Well, I undervolted my x100e right after I got it.
I never used it without undervolting.

Temperature is about 55°C in Idle with fan off.
Measurement with TPFancontrol.

@steveg47:: you got a PM
