600E, WinXP - typing-jumping

#1 Post by zgred » Tue Jun 15, 2004 10:17 am

Hello!
(Sorry if the topic isn't new - i searched!)

When I type (i think, comparatively fast) sometimes (let's say: once per 1000 keystrokes) the insertion point jumps suddenly somewhere else, mostly to the temporary mouse-cursor rest place.
I'm almost sure, this is not the case of accidently taping the TrackPoint.

Any ideas?
Tnx. Rgrds. z.

The trackpoint "press to select" sensor is built into the support plate part of the kepboard so it can sense vibrations nearby and every now and then think you have tapped the button. My 600 is so bad (or my typing is so heavy) that I had to disable the "press to select" and have had no further problems with it. I never used the press to select feature anyway.
