Ebay batteries?(600E) UPDATED! *Warning contains pics*
anyone have any luck with the knock offs on the 600 series?
I was looking at this 6cell in particular, 5200mAh sounds nice and it comes with a year guarantee.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290582546710?ss ... 1438.l2649
I bought a knock off 1200mAh NP45 for my camera and it's awesome, it has never died on me even with 3 continuous hours of photo/video taking. The stock OE battery would barely last an hour at best.
UPDATE:
I purchased this one
5200mAh 3 year warranty, trusted seller that I've used before many times.

Re: Ebay batteries?(600E)
I had reasonable experiences with knockoffs/generic battery replacements for both the 770 and 600 series, though I don't have experience with this particular seller.
For my 600X machines, I started to get my packs refilled instead of buying generic replacements because that affected whether I could achieve the maximum CPU speed with the SpeedStep CPUs that are used in the 600X. But if you are using a 600E, then that shouldn't be a concern, because there were no 600Es that were outfitted with SpeedStep CPUs.
Besides, there is no genuine IBM battery for the 600 series that has not already been sitting on the shelf for far too long to maintain its optimum charging health. Your best bet for a 600 series battery is probably some kind of generic clone or a refill job. And in my experience, the refills were more expensive, and somewhat less attractive.
Phil.

Re: Ebay batteries?(600E)
I ended up ordering this one, it says it's 100% new. vs refurbished.

I'll give it a review once it gets here.

Re: Ebay batteries?(600E)
Battery came in here today, it's from yall.com who is a big seller on eBay that sells china goods. I've bought several lasers from them and actually my Zune battery also. Very happy with every transaction from them.
They ship from New Jersey/New York, ordered it on Sunday got here on Thursday. And I live in California, which is 3,000 miles away.
Quality looks good, it's not OE quality but close enough.
It comes with instructions that tell you how to charge and calibrate it.
This is the first part of the review which is visual, I'll update it when I get it running on the computer.
