Removing processor from 390E

#1 Post by zowiehowie » Wed Apr 13, 2005 9:03 am

I figured out why my 390E was locking up. All signs point to the fact that the processor was overheating. So....how do I get to the processor? I remember IBM used to have a link on their site showing how to disassemble the laptop, but I cannot seem to find it anymore. Does anyone know how to get to the processor in this machine?

You can find everything you need to know about disassembling a thinkpad in the hardware maintenance manual available on the IBM website. www.ibm.com/support
