770Z BIOS Error "Off > On"

#1 Post by Xuff » Thu Apr 14, 2005 1:54 pm

I have a 770Z here that displays a screen that looks like part of the IBM BIOS with nothing more than a flashing "Off > On" message. I'm wondering what it means, why it's appearing, and am interested in finding any documentation about this specific screen. I've been through all the manuals and websites I could find and no one mentions it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

This is an easy one... it could be coming on for any of the following reasons.

1) No drive to boot an OS from.

2) The boot order does not include a drive that has a bootable OS.

3) The CMOS battery is low and getting close to needing replace
