Transnote digital Pad power problem

#1 Post by strong_auto_concepts » Fri Apr 15, 2005 2:28 pm

Hi there folks,

My first post here as I just purchased my transnote yesterday from a school sale. I had checked it over earlier in the day and didn't think much of it, but decided I'd pick it up later since I was in need of something small and it looked kind of neat. I talked them down to $180 since it wasn't the fastest and they didn't have the administrator password. I think I got a decent deal :). Found out later that the password was "password".

Anyways, onto my question.

Afterplaying with everything for a while I realized that I can only get the digitizing pad to come on when the AC adapter is pluged into the computer. This makes it kind of useless as I'd like to take notes on it, and don't have a plug near me. The battery life seems great at about 3 hours on the battery saver function so I really want to be able to use it.

Any thoughts on why it would need external power to work?

Thanks in advance
Happy Transnote User

Was this question ever answered? I've noticed the same thing happening on my transnote, though I could swear it wasn't doing it before.

For future reference, I've since learned this is the green sub-battery pack is dead; this powers the digital pad on battery power.
