Repair: 600x docking station spring door thingy

#1 Post by wkw1 » Thu Apr 19, 2012 4:29 pm

So, I found a docking station for my 600x. Works fine. However when I put it in, the little spring hinge that shuts the docking connector door when not in use poped out.

I managed to re-loop the spring and pop the hinges back on, but it doesn't seem right. Should the spring come out, almost over the white knob for the docking station connector, or should it be behind the pegs that hold the door in?

Anyone with a 600/600x could just flip open the door and check. Would rather get it fixed now, then go back to work and check one of the others ones if they hadn't thrown them away yet.
Thanks

The spring loops over the two pins: http://www.kawakami-ca.com/images/ibm_6 ... spring.jpg
