It looks to be more old than the 600-series
And newer than the 350c (486SL/25 MHz) that I newly bought.
It seems te be a Pentium 1 sticker on the the computers left side. And it seems like it have a cd-rom player. (the purp-button at the front).
Cause i'm quite new att TP's, I don't know so many models. But it's not slower than a Pentium 75MHz, an probably not faster than a Pentium MMX 233MHz.
The fact that stupid sellers do not writes out what model it is are very frustrating. That cause that we buy the pig in the sack. Or not buy casue we dont know what to get
Thanx

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I think, this 760-th model... At least, it looks like...
The issue is that the seller doesn't know anything about the PC - all fields in the description are empty. But he lives in the same city as I do, and I will try to see the machine before I put a bid there.
If somebody recognises the machine "from face"

, please, tell me...

Don't know. I checked the list of official specifications for withdrawn notebooks of IBM - 760th my come with many different variations...
I have qanother question to those who owns TP 760 (if we consider that this one is the 760th..): does anybody run Linux on it? I want to use it as a portable typewriter with Linux and OpenOffice. Will I be able to install and use it?
Regards,
A.

Has the MMX logo and the contrast bar on the screen is slightly higher up than on most SVGA 760's, so I'm gonna go for the 760XD.

The maximum limit for a 760C, CD, L or LD is 42mb, and the limit for all the other 760's is 104mb. The reason most 760's are at 80mb is because of how hard it is to find the 64mb EDO SODIMM that's neccessary to hit 104.
Thanx everybody
