Thinkpad 370c AC Adapter Confusion

#1 Post by ichhabegedroppen » Mon May 28, 2012 4:55 pm

Hi there,

I have recently aquired a 370c Type 9545.

It has the 4-pin old style DC Connector in the shape of an Isosceles Trapezium (Trapezoid).

I haven't been able to find an adapter for sale anyware that is rated at 20V 2.50A as suggested on the label underneath the Thinkpad.

I have seen a few Genuine IBM adapters on eBay, but the sellers have listed the output at either 15V or 16.5V.

I know this connector is pretty old, but if anyone has any experience with these adapters or whether or not its possible a 15V one would actually power the Thinkpad or not would be great.

Thanks.
