Where to get bios update and drivers for TP 350c?

Older ThinkPads.. from the 600, the 7xx, the iSeries, 300, 500, the Transnote and, of course, the 701

Where to get bios update and drivers for TP 350c?

#1 Post by schaki » Wed Apr 27, 2005 5:31 am

The type number is: 2618

I cannot find the 350c in the model-list.

Would be nice to update the bios (To use a bit bigger hdd, have just 120mb right now, lol)and maybe get som drivers for it.

The computer runs very fine, (just the cmos battery seems to be empty) i'm running Win 3.1 on it. But will install Win95.

Does it have usual edo ram? The size on the modul seems to be as big as on edo for desktops. I found just one ram slot. is there nay integrated?

I was lucky, i have one pcmcia slot. I bought a 16bit 10mbps to it and downloaded dirvers for win95 to it. Soon i can hopefully read this forum on htat computer. need just to increase the ram-size a lot.
Thinkpad X61s with Middleton bios 2.22.

Unfortunately IBM has removed the files for older ThinkPad models. Send them an email, requesting the files. Let's hope the are nice enough.

I'm not sure if the 350c even had a user flashable BIOS. Well, even if it did, it still wouldn't let you get bigger hard drives than whatever the limit is, I think it's somewhere in the 500mb range, give or take.

You could try a drive overlay (http://www.thinkpads.com/6gig-limit.htm) to make the computer think it's less than the limit. I acutally did that just tonight with a 20gb drive so I could use it in my 760XD.
