760EL BIOS upgrade

Pulling my hair out here...where do I find a 760EL bios upgrade? It is very clear this is required to get a PCMCIA card working with win98se for USB connection / networking, but I cannot find a downloadable bios update anywhere...apparently there was a downloadable update from ibm.com support web - but the links to that are now quite dead.

help?
