Welcome to thinkpads.com!

The Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for the 755 series lists an FRU of 84G4320 for a USA-only supply. I'm guessing it's because the AC input can only handle 120V (i.e., it's not a universal supply that can be used with both 120VAC and 220VAC). Another FRU is 49G2196. That one appears to be a universal supply. Both can be obtained off of eBay or you can also post a WTB (Want To Buy) in the Marketplace forum.

As to your second question, DOS 5.0 :) .

Seriously though, the 755CD appears to have shipped with Windows 3.1 and the underlaying DOS (6.0 I think). You might be able to run Windows 98 on it. Anything newer than that will probably exceed the minimum system requirements. I doubt that any modern Linux distro could handle hardware as old as what's in the 755CD but I'm not a Linux expert so don't quote me on that.

edit: I was going to reference a link to download the HMM from Lenovo's Support site but I can't find it. You can get it from my public Dropbox here:
