IBM ThinkPad 755CSE Stuck at POST If w/ HDD

#1 Post by jeffbaichina » Wed Oct 23, 2013 6:31 pm

I got my 755CSE finally but when I try to turn it on it stuck at the POST screen with 16,000 KB RAM check display, the floppy drive access light was always on when stuck - STUCK=NOTHING WORK+CANNOT TURN OFF THE LAPTOP (Unless you unplug the power).

And just then I found out that if I remove the HDD everything goes... Is it because the HDD is dead or MBR is corrupted? And also how can I open the HDD caddy if the HDD is dead?

Thanks.
