Hi there,

I have some problems starting up my Thinkpad 600 [645-910].

One of the errors I get is the ERROR 192

My SystemCheck of my Motherboard also gives the error messages:

SYSTEMBOAD:
DEV 001
ER 91
FRU 3610

I would like to replca emy backup battery with the part number: 02K6502

Where could I buy one ?

I did now find many good eBAY sellers.

Could somebody please explain the SYSTEM CHECK error messages:


ERROR 192 / ERROR 163

SYSTEMBOARD CHECK:

quite easy. You buy one CR2025 small battery from super market by less 1 pound.

Before changing, please make delete all passwords in BIOS, such as super user password, etc.

I will tell you how to exchange it in 10 min.

192 fan error
163 date error

After changed the CR2025, please enter the BIOS and adjust the date again. then restart.

The IBM document: 09n1033 (search on www.ibm.com )
explains many error codes.

DEV 001 = motherboard

FRU 36 10 = 10 systemboard & 36 battery pack
