More than a few years ago, I purchased a used 701C on eBay.
The motherboard had been damaged with soda being spilled.
I manage to salvage the hard drive and the RAM module.

I remember thinking that it is a 4MB module.
It is made by Viking Components and the ID on the two chips 4LC1M16C3TG

Is it a 4MB module?

From the given information, yes.

The part number traces back to a Micron MT4LC1M16C3TG, which is a 1Meg x 16 Fast Page mode DRAM. Since you say there are two such memories on the module, that's a total of 1Meg x 32 bits or 4M bytes.

Do you happen to have the other 701C guts still?

Just the hard drive.
The motherboard was coated with dried soda pop, so I recycled the entire laptop.
