Replacing Thinkpad 600 screen with any TP 600 size ???

Hi there,

I was wondering if one could replace any THINKPAD 600 screen [13" / 13.5" / 14" ] with any thinkpad 600 screen?

I have read that the motherboard of different sized TP 600 screens can not be used to replace other sized TP 600 models ?

I would like to install a 13" or 13.5" into a 14" Thinkpad600.

are there all these different sizes? i thought TP600's got shipped with 12.1" and 13.3" (like i have) screens...

The 600 series (600, 600E and 600X) primarily came with a 13.3" display.

There were two very early 600 models that came with either a 12.1" or 13" display, but all of the other's came with the 13.3" XGA display.

No 13.5" nor 14" 600s.

Shadynet have a look at eBAY and it gets even more confusing

There are quiet a lot of eBAY Thinkpad parts sellers who are
not up to date .

I will work on my Thinkpads in a short time.
